2016 Audiobook Challenge

It's time for the 2016 Audiobook challenge. If you follow my page, you know I do this every year. This year is no different. 

Here are the rules (stolen from the Hot Listens page):

• Runs January 1, 2016 – December 31, 2016. You can join at anytime.
• The goal is to find a new love for audios or to outdo yourself by listening to more audios in 2016 than you did in 2015.
• Books must be in audio format (CD, MP3, etc.)
• ANY genres count.
• Re-reads and crossovers from other reading challenges are allowed.
• You do not have to be a book blogger to participate; you can track your progress on Goodreads, Shelfari, Facebook, LibraryThing, etc.
• If you’re a blogger grab the button and do a quick post about the challenge to help spread the word. If you’re not a blogger you can help by posting on Facebook or Tweeting about the challenge.

Here are the levels (also stolen...I'm a thief):

Newbie (I’ll give it a try) 1-5

Weekend Warrior (I’m getting the hang of this) 5-10

Stenographer (can listen while multi-tasking) 10-15

Socially Awkward (Don’t talk to me) 15-20

Binge Listener (Why read when someone can do it for you) 20-30

My Precious (I had my earbuds surgically implanted) 30+

Marathoner (Look Ma No Hands) 50+

With my baby coming, I don't have as much time to listen, so I'm going to stick with last weeks level of Marathoner, and aim for 85+ books instead of 50.

Audiobook - Fourth Quarter Update

To see the main page for the challenge go here. This challenge is about to end with the ending of the year, and here is my final update.

My chosen level for this year is: Marathoner (Look Ma no hands) 50+. More specifically, I planned to read at least 85+ audiobooks, but after the last update, I increased it to 110. Lets go into how I've done for the final quarter:

With the addition of this to my other quarters, I finish the challenge with a total of 111 audiobooks, meeting my goal. I'll add that I've read more than this because some I listened to some more than once within the year, but I didn't want to count them each time. I can't wait until the next challenge, though with the addition of a new baby in January, my time may be a bit strained. We will see.
