Must Read Monday (3), Bout of Books Wrap-up

Hi Everyone!!!! Its time for Must Read Monday hosted by Jenna of Fans of Fiction.

Fans of Fiction

Must Read Monday is a weekly meme devoted to sharing great books in poem format in the hopes that others will add them to their to be read list.

Each week, the people who have the best poems are announced as winners for that week, and Last week the winner was Me, and Pam.

This week's category is LOVE!!!

It is such a hard one because I like all different types of love in my books. I'd say Twilight, but I dont want to because everyone reads it. Instead, I'll say the Marina's Tales Series. I choose this one mainly because I LOVE the love between Ethan and Marina, but also because it's easy for people to get this book since I'm currently hosting a giveaway for the books in the series here.

Marina isn't who she thought she was,
Aptos holds the answers
Revealing truths about her past
In all ways supernatural
Nightmares that feel too real
And deadly prophecy
Send Marina over the edge

Tearing her heart in three
Always in love with Ethan, but
Longing for the sea
Embracing her true heritage
Starts with losing what makes her be.

Okay so this week was SUPER HARD but I think this is my best poem yet! I had fun once again and can't wait to post the one for next week. Jenna was awesome to think of this meme. Go on over to her site and sign up.

Thanks for stopping by! Next I will focus on the Wrap Up of The Bout of Books read-A-Thon

Okay, so I did much better for this Read-a-thon. I read 3 books;
  • The Moon and The Tide - Derrolyn Anderson
  • The Fate of The Muse - Derrolyn Anderson
  • Dead Sky Moon - Karina Halle (I only read 1/4 of this book but it still counts right)
I enjoyed myself and am certainly looking forward to the next Read-a-Thon.

Free Giveaway!!! Experiment in Terror Series

THIS JUST IN... (I always wanted to say that)

The 3 Experiment in Terror books are free at Smashwords. The details are here. It seems as if Karina Halle, author of the Experiment in Terror Series, decided to give them as a Halloween Gift! For all of you who dont know about this series, you can see my review of the first two books here----> Darkhouse Review, Red Fox Review. I am currently reading the 3rd book, and just to let you know.......IT'S AWESOME!!!

Hurry, because this offer ends once Halloween is over (I think)

Follow Friday and Book Blogger Hop

Hello Everyone and Happy Friday!!!!!! Lets begin with the Friday Fun:

Follow Friday is a weekly meme hosted by Allison Can Read and Parajunkee's View where book bloggers get together and HAVE FUN!!!

This week's question is:

Q. If you could have dinner with your favorite book character, who would you eat with and what would you serve?

Lets start off by saying....I LOVE THIS QUESTION!!! Okay so there would be a TON of characters I would like to eat with. First, Katniss from The Hunger Games.
I'm sure the meal would be a little weird since she's a little messed up in the head after everything she went through in the games, plus she'd be a little old since the book ended while her kids are playing on the meadow cemetery. Nonetheless, I love her and okay I'll admit I want to see if she can introduce me to Gale (dont judge me).

I'd also like to eat with Jael from Misfit. I mean she only eats buffet's of fruit and veggies. I feel like i'd be healthy as a horse after spending 1 week eating with her. Hopefully she doesnt fiddle with my soul in the meantime, but you gotta take what you can get...

Vi from Possession would be nice to meet too. She seems like a fun person minus the whole mind control thing and everything.

Okay, I'll admit I'd like to meet like everyone from every book I have ever read. (except Voldemort; I may just pee my pants.
Becides, can you imagine him eating actual food? It would look disgusing with the whole nose slits and weird teeth. Plus I feel like he only eats people for some reason...like a zombie only wayyy cooler and scarier)

What are you're answers?

Next we'll move on to Book Blogger Hop.
Book Blogger Hop is hosted by Crazy For Books and is a weekly meme where book bloggers can meet other book bloggers.

This week's question is:

“What is your favorite Halloween costume?
Even if you don’t celebrate, what kinds of costumes do you like?”
I love em all. For myself I like the whole somewhat sexy but still covered body parts thing. I LOVE victorian/renaissance/period costumes. (they're just so darn expensive sometimes) Story book characters are fun. I was Little Red Riding Hood last year. This year I'll be a fairy. I keep wanting to be pocahontas, but I cant seem to find a costume that'll cover everything. On other people I like em all! Scary, slutty, story book, imaginative...pretty much anything that's done in detail and had some thought put behind it I love. I especially love people who dress their dogs. So Cute. I am thinking I'll dress mine this year, but we'll see.

What are you're favorites?

While you're here, you should also check out My Giveaway. Thanks for stopping by!

Author Interview and Marina's Tales Giveaway!!!

Hello Everyone!!!
Okay, so I must admit that I flew through this series! It was amazing!!! After reading the last book in just one day (a few hours really), I decided it was time to do my first author interview and giveaway!

We are very lucky to have Ms. Derrolyn Anderson, Author of the Marina’s Tales series with us today for an interview! (My first Interview!!! Wooo Hooo!!) For those of you who don’t know, Derrolyn Anderson is the self published author of the books I recently reviewed (Between The Land and The Sea, The Moon and The Tide, and The Fate of the Muse), and she also happens to be an AMAZING painter and sculptor.
Hey Derrolyn!!! I am sooo excited that you decided to let me review your books (which, by now I’m sure you know that I am in LOVE with) and then do an interview and a giveaway with us. Lets Begin!!! (for some reason I feel like I’m on a game show…hehe)
Okay, first things first, you’re a sculptor, painter, and self published writer. I can barely focus on work, school and reading. How on earth do you do it all?
"Occasional bouts of insomnia... But seriously, all three of my daughters are finally in high school, and my twins are driving now. Yay! My husband and I have a home based business, and that cuts down on stress and commute time. I try to slip away to write a little every night while he makes dinner for everyone. I’m a lucky woman – he cooks and he’s cute too!"
(She is definitely lucky. I love me some cute men who can cook!)
Next question, What made you choose to self publish? Do you find that there are disadvantages to self publishing versus getting a publisher?
"After I finished my first book, I sent out query letters to a couple dozen literary agents and got one request for a partial that led nowhere. I couldn’t even get anyone to read it! The hubby (a visionary entrepreneur) urged me to self pub, but I was resistant, thinking I needed industry validation. When my kids came back from shopping to announce that Snooki had a book deal, (and a hardcover!) I threw up my hands and went solo.
"Disadvantages: I have to do all my own promotion, and I’m afraid I stink at it. I’m probably going to have to get with the program and get on Facebook, risking having my checkered past come back to haunt me. I also need to figure out how to make a non-stupid book trailer. UGH. So far, I’ve been querying blogs I like, and it’s been fantastic! BOOK BLOGGERS RULE!
"Advantages: I own all the rights for all eternity, giving me plenty of time to find an audience. Since my novels are e-books, I can change anything I want with the click of a mouse. I’m stubbornly independent, I’ve been self employed for many years, so I’m pretty much used to flying without a net anyway."
Yea we bloggers are amazing aren't we...*wink wink*. Oh and Snooki's book deal? BOOOOO! I saw the book in Barnes and Noble the other day and walked the other direction!!
I have found that authors seem to have a pretty tough skin to let people read their creations and form opinions and determine if it was good or bad. How can you do it? I mean, I will admit I’m a bit of a punk. I have been known to sulk on the inside when I hear that someone doesn’t like something I said or did and have no idea how to not feel bad. How do you respond to bad reviews from people who may not like your books?
"I do appreciate any constructive writing criticism I get; I’ve foolishly done my own editing and second opinions can be really helpful. As far as content criticism, I’d be lying if I said I didn’t care, but I’m old enough to know that you can’t please everyone, so you have to please yourself! That said, I don’t want to embarrass my kids, so for their sake, I’ll probably write some more, uhm... mature... stories in the future."
Ooooo...mature books? Count me in!
Now, to focus on your actual Books. The Marina’s Tales series takes regular mermaid myths and makes it so much more interesting. Why did you want to make your mermaids more creature than human?
"I thought about sea mammals like dolphins, otters and whales. I wanted my mermaids to be closer in nature to them – playful, carefree and wild. I liked the idea of them being innocent and unaware of the magic that they possessed."
"So some people think mermaids came by means of evolution, others think they were just created. How do you think mermaids came to be?"
"Supernatural magic I guess, or maybe divine intervention. I sort of explain them as being descended from the muses of ancient mythology, but I’m OK with it being a little nebulous."
I have seen multiple covers for some of your books, are you pleased with the current covers? How do you feel they relate to the story?
"I created my own covers using stock photography and Photoshop; I’m never satisfied so I keep messing around with them. The first cover features the real cement ship in the background, and the third cover is actually one of my daughters, photographed by her sister. I have no idea what I’ll put on the fourth cover!"
Where do you think Marina’s Tales is going from here? Are you writing a new book? (Title pretty, pretty, please?)
"I’m just getting going on book #4 - 'The Turning Tides'. I have a loose outline, but I’m a seat-of-the-pants writer, so I’m never quite sure where I’ll end up when I start."
Do mermaids exist? (You can tell us)
I’m actually taking votes on that... derrolyn's mermaid poll.
What snacks do you like to eat when you’re reading/writing?
"Chocolate, coffee and red wine. Not in any particular order."
What has been your best experience so far?
"As far as writing goes, getting my first good review from a total stranger. It’s one thing when your friend, mother or sister in law says it’s good, but a rave review from a blogger is definitely a thrill!"
Okay, we have reached the end of the interview. Any closing comments, secrets, or funny anecdotes you want to leave us with?
Not really, just a big THANK YOU for showcasing my books, and I hope you get lots and lots of entries for the giveaway!
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Review: The Fate of The Muse By Derrolyn Anderson

Book: The Fate of The Muse (Marina's Tales #3)
By: Derrolyn Anderson
Publication Date: September 16, 2011
Publisher: Self Published

Description: Trouble is stalking Marina. She’s already escaped the clutches of her formidable foe once, but fate has even more trials in store for her. There are evil plans in the works– plans that threaten both her and her newly found family.
As she struggles to come to grips with her unwanted powers, outside forces threaten to tear Marina and Ethan apart, making her doubt their vision of a future together. Can first love be true love?

My Thoughts: Wow! just Wow!!! You know that feeling when you're reading a good book and its getting better and better and then you have to stop and you look up and like 3 hours has passed, and all your limbs feel all jittery and anxious and excited? That's how I felt while reading the Fate of The Muse. To say this was a good book would be a COMPLETE UNDERSTATEMENT!!! I was scared and nervous and happy and giddy and angry and annoyed all at the same time. The wave of emotions tumbling around me felt just like the waves Marina surfs on a daily basis - Dangerous and Exciting!

So I have no idea how to do this book any kind of justice. It was great. It was funny because at times I was like, oh something bad is going to happen  right now. Then it didn't, only to happen when I least expected it. It made me on edge and nervous when I needed to be. The effect this book had on me was visible! I loved It. Ethan (the boyfriend/fiance) was just as wonderful and real as ever, and as usual, the surf's amazing. I legitimately wanted to learn to surf after I read this book. Marina is...Marina, and although I don't always like her decisions, I must admit that that's why I love the books so much! I don't even know what to say about this book...

I never wanted to stop reading this book (and never did). Once I started, I turned page after page after page only to find that the book was over and I wanted more!!! This book gets 5 LARGE STARS!!

Review: The Moon and The Tide - Derrolyn Anderson

Book: The Moon and The Tide (Marina's Tales #2)
By: Derrolyn Anderson
Publication Date: April 01, 2011
Publisher: Self Published

Description: When Marina learned the truth about her past she thought that the drama was over, but she couldn't have been more wrong. She finds that her whole life has been a lie, orchestrated from behind the scenes by her own loved ones.

Still reeling from the shock, she is confronted with even more betrayal, and takes solace in an increasingly dangerous new habit.

After an accident dramatically exposes her secret to the world, a dangerous enemy with evil plans arrives on the scene. Marina's bravery is put to the test once again, forcing her to use all of her new-found skills to protect her family.

Can good triumph over evil?

Will true love win out over jealousy?

My Thoughts: I loved The Moon and The Tide even more than I loved Between the Land and The Sea. It gave us the perfect mix of everything and I couldn't get enough. In my previous review of Between the Land and The Sea (see review here), I pointed out that everything was perfect like a Disney movie. The Moon and The Tide was NOTHING like a Disney movie. It had addiction (which I LOVED, and made me laugh sometimes) and sneakiness, passion, romance, control, betrayal, kidnapping, plenty of eye candy, and much, much more. I can't think of one bad thing to say about this book (and that's really saying something).

The relationship between Ethan and Marina is sweet and intense. I got annoyed at Ethan sometimes because I felt as if he wanted to change who Marina was; like Ethan didn't like all of who Marina was inside.  It was a good addition to the book though because some books where the relationship is all peachy with bows and rainbows and fireworks just seems, ummm fake, and this one adds a realistic flare to it. It makes me think that Ethan is a real guy with real insecurities and I love it! I like getting mad at a character every once in a while, only to later apologize to them for getting upset (haha). I also liked Kimo, the sexy, strong Hawaiian surfer. Let me just say that if I met him, I would definitely....ummm....say hi (wink wink). He also reminds me of a real guy too. (I wont explain why, just read the book and you'll see) There's just something about men that see what they want and just try to reach out and grab it that I love!

This book was the best of the series (so far). It throws quite a bit of curveballs and, although most of them are to be expected, you enjoy watching them occur. I would definitely suggest to anyone who has not read this series yet: DO IT NOW!!! (They're really a steal at between $.99 and $2.99 on Amazon, Barnes and Noble and Smashwords for the ebooks) As for the rating? I give it 5 Stars!

Must Read Monday (2)

Hello Everyone! I have missed you all. I was not posting last week (sorry) because I had the flu and focused all my energy on sleep and grad school homework. That being said, I have a review for you later (yea I couldn't focus only on my homework with a ridiculously interesting book next to my bed, so ummm, I figured if I finished the book, there wouldnt be anything else to tempt me. *wink wink*)  Now, from Fans of Fiction we have Must Read Monday!!!!!!
Fans of Fiction

I love this meme, and I believe it has a lot of potential to grow. Its so fun. This week's category is Paranormal/Paranorman Romance and I wanted to choose Twilight but, I assume everyone has already read it so I'll move on to Fallen By Lauren Kate.

Forever falling for the same guy over and over, but
Always dying in his arms, always
Leaving him alone to
Live without me for an
Eternity, only now things are different.
Now, we can stay together for as long as I lives, and when I die, it will be for forever.

I love these little poems I have to create for this meme. Its so fun. Go check out Fan's of Fiction's page and try out the meme. Trust me! You're gonna LOVE it.

Waiting on Wednesday: Indecision causes 3 choices

Okay, so now you're all getting to see how ridiculously indecisive I am. There are 3 books I am (un-patiently) waiting on......

"Waiting on" Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine that spotlights upcoming releases we're eagerly anticipating.

My choices for this week are:

Book: The Calling
By: Kelley Armstrong
Publication Date: April 10, 2012

Description: Maya Delaney’s paw-print birthmark is the sign of what she truly is—a skin-walker. She can run faster, climb higher, and see better than nearly anyone else. Experiencing intense connections with the animals that roam the woods outside her home, Maya knows it’s only a matter of time before she’s able to Shift and become one of them. And she believes there may be others in her small town with surprising talents.
Now, Maya and her friends have been forced to flee from their homes during a forest fire they suspect was deliberately set. Then they’re kidnapped, and after a chilling helicopter crash, they find themselves in the Vancouver Island wilderness with nothing but their extraordinary abilities to help them get back home. Plentiful action and romance in this second installment in the Darkness Rising series will keep readers enthralled to the last page.

My Thoughts: So, I havent read the first book in the trilogy, The Gathering,  and I hear you're not supposed to read the second description before you read the first book, but I dont care because I want this one too! Becides, I cant find which box I put the first book in when I had to condense my piles of books at my mom's wishes (I cant wait until I get a bookshelf or 2 or 5 next year when I move out.) What about you? I know you want it! Becides, look at that cover! The girl is gorgeous!

Book: A Temptation of Angels
By: Michelle Zink
Publication Date: March 20, 2012

Description: Even angels make mistakes in this page-turning epic romance
When her parents are murdered before her eyes, sixteen-year-old Helen Cartwright finds herself launched into an underground London where a mysterious organization called the Dictata controls the balance of good and evil. Helen learns that she is one of three remaining angelic descendants charged with protecting the world's past, present, and future. Unbeknownst to her, she has been trained her whole life to accept this responsibility. Now, as she finds herself torn between the angelic brothers protecting her and the devastatingly handsome childhood friend who wants to destroy her, she must prepare to be brave, to be hunted, and above all to be strong, because temptation will be hard to resist, even for an angel.
Michelle Zink masterfully weaves historical fantasy with paranormal romance to create a gripping tale of love and betrayal.

My Thoughts: YES! YES! YES! Bring it on!!!!!!!

And Finally:

Book: The Gathering Storm
By: Robin Bridges
Publication Date: January 10, 2012

Description: St. Petersburg, Russia, 1888. As she attends a whirl of glittering balls, royal debutante Katerina Alexandrovna, Duchess of Oldenburg, tries to hide a dark secret: she can raise the dead. No one knows. Not her family. Not the girls at her finishing school. Not the tsar or anyone in her aristocratic circle. Katerina considers her talent a curse, not a gift. But when she uses her special skill to protect a member of the Imperial Family, she finds herself caught in a web of intrigue.
An evil presence is growing within Europe's royal bloodlines—and those aligned with the darkness threaten to topple the tsar. Suddenly Katerina's strength as a necromancer attracts attention from unwelcome sources . . . including two young men—George Alexandrovich, the tsar's standoffish middle son, who needs Katerina's help to safeguard Russia, even if he's repelled by her secret, and the dashing Prince Danilo, heir to the throne of Montenegro, to whom Katerina feels inexplicably drawn.
The time has come for Katerina to embrace her power, but which side will she choose—and to whom will she give her heart?

My Thoughts: Are you as in love with this book as I am? You should be! Ahhh, I am im book love heaven over here! By the way, this book comes out 8 days before my 23rd Birthday and would make an excellent birthday present, hint hint.

What are your choices?

Review: Between the Land and the Sea

Good Morning Everyone. I am so exhausted with school already, so I took a break despite the fact that I have an assignment due at 11:59pm tonight. I NEED to get this review out before i forget all my feelings. I am getting so caught up in book two of the series already and dont want to mix up feelings!

Book: Between the Land and the Sea (Marina's Tales #1)
By: Derrolyn Anderson
Publication Date: March 30, 2011
Publisher: (self published)

Description: Something extraordinary is lurking in the deep ocean waters off of Aptos, California. Just weeks after moving to the beach town, sixteen year old Marina has nearly drowned twice, enchanted the hottest guy in high school, and discovered a supernatural creature.
If she can only survive her increasingly dangerous encounters with unpredictable mermaids, she might just unlock the mystery of her past... and maybe even find true love.

My Thoughts: Derrolyn Anderson's Between the Land and The Sea is a great mermaid book that gives an in depth look at the myths about mermaids and makes you fall in love.

Marina has traveled with her humanitarian father all her life. Homeschooled, and made to meet many different impoverished people, Marina's grew up with only adults and therefore grew up fast. An assignment for her father to visit Afghanistan to help out some of the people left Marina in Aptos, in a house near the beach with her Aunt Abby. It is here, where she meets her first mermaid. This event changed everything Marina knew about herself, her father, and her mother.

I absolutely loved this book. It made me want to be a mermaid and go surfing and do fun stuff all day. I loved the love interest Ethan. He is gorgeous (of course) but also strong, protective and independent. I especially loved how the love blossomed betweeb he and Marina. he best friends Cruz and Megan were also wonderful. I loved the world created in this book.

I read a few reviews about this book prior to accepting it from the author, and many people stated that they believed that Marina's life was too perfect. She had a rich "aunt" that showered her with expensive clothes and cars and anything else she wanted, perfect best friends, a perfect boyfriend that automatically wants to do anything for you and an all around wonderful life that everyone seems to want. I'll admit that her life is pretty perfect, but thats what makes me love the book so much. Its crisp, clean, and refreshing (water reference) like a Disney movie, and I LOVE DISNEY MOVIES!!! Its like a book where love conquers all and when you're done you feel like you're waking from a fantasy world. I just watched The Little Mermaid this weekend because I was inspired from this book. It was both light and deep at the same time and I giggled out loud a lot while I was reading. I must admit that this book was definately cuter than cute!

That being said, there was one (1) issue I had with this book. Derrolyn's writing style is great but a lot of her sentences had the conjuction for to begin the description of the reasoning in the sentence. I would be like if I said, "I went to McDonalds, for now I was hungry." It just sounded weird and every time I saw it it brought me out of the book and made me focus on that one particular sentence. It happened like every 10 pages or so and kept taking me out of the flow of the book. Why not put "because" or "since" instead of "for now." I remember back in elementary school when my teacher was teaching us about conjunctions and she said "for" adds a lot of weight to the sentence and should be rarely used but I had no idea what she meant when she said it adds weight to a sentence. Sentences dont weigh anything! Nonetheless, I understand now, and that annoyed me the most in the book. Maybe I'm just a little picky, but I just didnt like that part very much.

Obviously, since that was my only teeny tiny complaint in the book (and since it had nothing to do with the story as a whole)  you can see that I loved this book. It was great and had me changing my mind from wanting to be a vampire for Halloween, to wanting to be a Mermaid. If only I could walk with that fin... O well. You MUST read this book! 4.5 stars

Must Read Monday (1)

Thanks to one of my Favorite bloggers, Fans of Fiction, I now have a new meme that I hope I can keep up with!

Fans of Fiction

This weeks choice is dystopian novels. I choose (surprise, surprise) Possession by Elana Johnson (review here) Here's my acrostic:

People controlled by transmissions
Overprotective not really dead but dead father
Seriously ridiculous
Security measures
Extremely potent mind control
Secrets

Surrender
I need a sequel
Oh my goodness it was great
Not a fan of the ending, but a definite fan of the book.

I hope I did this right, Nonetheless I kind of liked this meme. What do you all thing. Try it out, oh and read Possession!

Follow Friday and Book Blogger Hop

Hello Everyone and Happy Friday,

Am I glad it's friday? You betcha! I have been sooo busy this week. (Actually I'm still busy but decided to take a break.) My review for this week should be up by like tomorrow (hopefully) so stay tuned. Now lets move on to the meme's:

Follow Friday is hosted by Allison Can Read and Parajunkee's View.

This week's question is:

Q.If you could have characters from a particular book meet and form an epic storyline with characters from a particular TV series, which would you choose and why?

Ummm. So this is a difficult question mainly because almost all the tv shows I watch are based off of books: True Blood, Game of Thrones, Vampire Diaries, The Tudors, theyre all books. How on earth am I to answer this question. I guess if the mix were to be with movies, I'd say have all the characters from the Matrix meet with all the vampires from Twilight. Think about it (not too hard, your head might hurt). Okay, so the people in the Matrix say that the world we live in is false. Like a computer program and Neo has all those super powers like stopping bullets and flying and everything. But vampires are like really hard and strong and fast. What'll happen if the two of those groups get into a fight. Furthermore, what would Neo and Trinity think about Vampires. Since they live extra long are they like super agents. Ones that can only be killed with fire? What would the vampires think of Neo. Would he be like one of them since he's got all the powers and everything and can move all fast and is strong. Hmmmm Interesting. I guess when it comes to this question, I just cant answer it. I dont watch enough tv to think of a show and mix it with a book. Unless we count cartoons. Family Guy, for instance, mixed with Posession (review here) would be hilariously funny. I can see stewie now, talking about everyone throughout the entirety of the movie. Like a little narration as the story goes by that makes you laugh so hard you almost pee your pants. Actually, Family Guy mixed with anything would be great. Nice. I guess what I'm saying here, after all this explanation, is I have no freaking idea how to answer this question.

Book Blogger Hop is hosted by Crazy For Books.

This week's question is:

“What is your favorite spooky book (i.e. mystery/suspense, thriller, ghost story, etc.)?”

Okay, so I normally stay away from these so that I can sleep at night. I haven't read very many, therefore my answer would be Darkhouse by Karina Halle (review here) I was scared during the book, and loved it all the same.

What are your answers?

100 Follower Giveaway Winner and Teaser Tuesday

Okay so I'm late, sorry...Long weekend. Plus I just started Grad school so I've been a bit focused. Nonetheless, after putting everyones names into random.org, I have found a winner!!!! The winner is Lan from The Write Obsession. I think it's absolutely hilarious that she won. I was just talking about her in my last post and when I got the results back, I juts cracked up laughing. Anywho, Lan wants a copy of Enclave from The Book Depository and therefore if she replies within 48 hours, she will get it!

I enjoyed this giveaway, and plan to do a few more in the future, stay tuned!

This week's teaser is from The Moon and The Tide by Derrolyn Anderson:

Still reeling from the shock, she is confronted with even more betrayal, and takes solace in an increasingly dangerous new habit.

After an accident dramatically exposes her secret to the world, a dangerous enemy with evil plans arrives on the scene. Marina's bravery is put to the test once again, forcing her to use all of her new-found skills to protect her family.

Can good triumph over evil?

Will true love win out over jealousy?

"He was my first boyfriend, my first kiss, and I was hopelessly inexperienced. I heard the other girls at school talk casually about 'hooking up' but it could never be that way with us. We were in love, and that made everything more intense- more risky somehow. He was patient, and I knew I could trust him, but he was human"

What are your teasers?

Follow Friday and Book Blogger Hop

Good Evening everyone and Happy Friday. I have been pretty much out of it all day because of a cold, so I'm getting started a little late today. Nonetheless, here are the Friday meme's:

Follow Friday is a weekly meme hosted by Allison Can Read and Parajunkee's View where book bloggers answer questions and meet fellow book bloggers. This week's question is:

Q.If you could pick one character in a book, movie or television show to swap places with, who would it be?

I kinda love this week's question. Of course, like Allison from Allison Can Read, I would love to switch with Alice from Twilight (or perhaps Renesmee...I'd love to have Jacob fawning over me) and Hermione from Harry Potter. But I's also love to switch with Mo from How To Flirt with a Naked Werewolf just to be with sexy werewolf Cooper (minus the weird biting). I would also love to switch with Jael from Misfit because she has like amazing powers and stuff, I just don't think I'd really enjoy being a succubus, nearly snatching people's souls. Finally I'd absolutely love to be Vi from Possession. The ability to control technology and people with your mind is absolutely amazing!!! There's more books and a host of movies, but I'll stop here.

Book Blogger Hop is a weekly meme hosted by Crazy For Books where bloggers visit other bloggers.

“It’s time to spread some love beyond the borders of the Book Blogger Hop! This week, we aren’t answering a question. We are spotlighting our fellow bloggers. Find your favorite(s) author interview(s), guest post(s), book review(s), or bookish article(s) that ANOTHER BOOK BLOGGER featured on their site recently and tell us why you love it/them! As an additional challenge, find your favorite one of EACH of the categories above and spotlight all 4 (interview, guest post, review, article).”

Okay, so I am not going to follow the rules. I will pick 1 person I love and leave it at that (this isn't to say I don't love other people's blogs, I just love this one so much!!!)  Therefore I'd like to pick the lovely Lan from The Write Obsession. I love like everything she writes and would probably nominate her for an awesome award if I could. I must say I am a stalker of her blog! There was no particular post that made me fall in love with her, but lets just say visit her blog and look at every post she has written and tell me if you dont wanna stalk her too!

Okay so that's it. No closing remarks (I guess this is a closing remark in itself).
