Review: Legend by Marie Lu

Book: Legend
By: Marie Lu
Publication Date: November 29, 2011
Publisher: Penguin Young Readers Group

Description: What was once the western United States is now home to the Republic, a nation perpetually at war with its neighbors. Born into an elite family in one of the Republic's wealthiest districts, fifteen-year-old June is a prodigy being groomed for success in the Republic's highest military circles. Born into the slums, fifteen-year-old Day is the country's most wanted criminal. But his motives may not be as malicious as they seem.
From very different worlds, June and Day have no reason to cross paths - until the day June's brother, Metias, is murdered and Day becomes the prime suspect. Caught in the ultimate game of cat and mouse, Day is in a race for his family's survival, while June seeks to avenge Metias's death. But in a shocking turn of events, the two uncover the truth of what has really brought them together, and the sinister lengths their country will go to keep its secrets.
Full of nonstop action, suspense, and romance, this novel is sure to move readers as much as it thrills.

My Thoughts: I loved Legend so very much. If only it were longer so I could stay in this world a bit longer (sigh)

Okay, you know when I'm lost for words when my review is as short as this one will be. Let me start off with the things I didnt like. Like I said in my intro, I wanted it to be a bit longer, but I'm just selfish that way. I also wanted a bit more romance, but at least the rest of the story made up for that. Oh yea. I hated the ending. Okay, I didnt really hate it. I just wanted like a branch out to the next story. Maybe a title or a little breif thing that said what to expect, but nope. The good? Everything else. No really. Everything else about this book was great. The Suspense was crazy and I (secretly) flipped to the end to make sure everyone didnt die in some catastrophic death that ruined all remaining lives on the earth, including me (because yea. I'm in this book too. Didn't you know? Okay I'm not, but really, thats how involved I felt). Luckily that didnt happen, I think.*wink* Any who, I loved, loved, loved, loved LOVED THIS BOOK. Go out and get it right now. Like right now. Why are you still reading this post? You should be leaving. Oh, you're waiting on a rating. Sorry, here it is. I give it 4.5 stars because it was great, but didnt have that extra thing to put it over the top (I needed the extra romance and more pages)

Well, I already have it :) But I started reading it and kinda had to stop for a bit because it was getting to be a bit irritating for me. I dunno Sherre, it seems like our reading love list is just never going to meet! Lucky you're such a cool person.

I enjoyed this one too, the start was excellent, I felt there was a bit of something missing for a couple of scenes between, but then the ending was super again. Good review
